Thankfulness

Today, my heart is filled with thankfulness. Have there been any major events to be thankful for? Not really. The other day we were sitting down to a bowl of Sausage Potato soup. My heart was full. Why? Our heavenly Father was kind enough to provide us with this delicious, filling meal. Something as simple as a bowl of soup.

It has been quite cold outside. Our heavenly Father has seen fit to provide lots and lots of firewood to warm our house. As I look outside, I see the amazing colors of autumn. I see the beautiful colors of mums and roses.

Our daughter-in-law came over the other night with her 2 precious children. We had such a nice evening. There was laughter in our home.

Despite our life being stretched with many trials, when I take a moment to be still and ponder God's goodness, I am filled with thankfulness. What are you thankful for today?

The Beauty of Flowers!

My flower bed is exploding with beauty! I go out there every day in the cool of the morning to tend to the flowers and have some quiet time with my Lord. I am in awe of His creation. One of the clematis plants *finally* has a bloom on it. I so look forward to when the old gate is covered with clematis blooms. God, in His kindness has given me this earthly gift of this beautiful getaway.
